It's a first of a series of films I have planned for this particular group of Plus Size Detectives.

DC: What gave you the idea for the film?

DA: There are so many examples of female detectives lately and I have always wanted to play that type of strong dynamic character. I'm also a big fan of the Charlie's Angels' franchise, so I thought it would be great to put a group of full-figured detectives in some exciting situations and watch them succeed, thus "The Secret Plus Girls" were born!!!

DC: Who are your co-stars?

DA: Plus Size actresses Chevaughn Fruge and Christina Echeverria will play the other two detectives. They are both very talented ladies and the three of us make a very diverse cast. There are still some roles yet to be cast, but we are waiting until the project is completely funded before moving forward with any additional cast and crew.

DC: I also understand that you're in the midst of a fundraising campaign for the film as well. How is that going?

DA: We just started the crowd funding campaign on indiegogo.com. I am really excited about the getting this project off the ground and I'm happy to see the support from the Plus Size community!

I consider this to be one of the crowning moments of this blog, so it is with no small amount of pride that I re-present this Q & A in its entirety to help spotlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and hope that inspires more readers to take action to stamp out breast cancer once and for all.

Leighanne Delco has to be considered one of the unlikeliest porn stars around. At an age when most women are sitting around playing bridge, she is hanging and banging with the best of them. She has appeared in Big Lovin 4 and 6 for Sensational Video and has modeled for various websites as well. But if you factor in that Leighanne is also a breast cancer survivor, you can really appreciate how far she has come in such a short time. Given that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I can't think of a better interview to feature here.

Don Carlos: Let's start out with some background info on you, Leighanne...where are you from originally?

Leighanne Delco: I grew up in So. El Monte, California

DC: Did you have a relatively quiet childhood?

LD: Not really as I had two older brothers and two older sisters, so there was always something going on around our house.

DC: Growing up, what did you imagine yourself doing?

LD: A teacher at a preschool.

DC: And you were always pretty healthy then?

LD: Yes, I was pretty healthy, except for the usual childhood illnesses.

DC: Ok, so take us through how you were first diagnosed with breast cancer.

LD: I had just gotten out of the shower, and was doing a self breast exam, I felt a lump and told my husband about it, he felt it and told me to make a appointment ASAP so I called my doctor the next day. They also felt it during the exam and ordered a mammogram, which I had already done but it didn't show up. So they ordered a ultrasound and it did show several shadows. My doctor called me and he told me he needed to talk to me so I went to his office and told me, "you have breast cancer and we need to do a biopsy right away..."

DC: What was your initial reaction?

LD: I was scared, of course...I knew they were talking to me but I really couldn't hear them. I guess you can say I was in shock because I don't remember driving home or calling my Mom and my husband or anything else. I only remember the word "cancer".

DC: What kinds of options did your doctor present to you?

LD: I don't remember them giving me any options, other than the surgeries at first. I had the first biopsy in April of 2003 and they removed 4 lumps and they were sent to be tested, and then went back two weeks later to have the other 4 removed. They ranged in sizes from peas to small walnuts (funny how doctors describe sizes) from the underside of my left breast. They also said they were going to remove some lymph nodes from under my arm to have them checked (just a few..lol they removed 26) and of those 26 they found that the cancer had spread to some of the nodes closest to my breast. The options were radiation and maybe chemo.... I was then scheduled for radiation after a three week recovery. I had roughly 48 treatments of radiation, which began in May 2003 (it took me longer to drive to the doctor than the actual treatment...lol). As the last of the treatments were approaching, I had another doctor's appointment with my oncologists and she told me that after talking with her colleges, they decided that I should have at least 4 treatments of chemo and told me that I could lose my hair and if I did it could come back a different color, or curly, or straight, it all depended on the person. They also said it could start to fall out after one treatment or after the fourth; again, it all depended on the person.

DC: Were you pretty confident that you would be able to overcome the disease?

LD: At first, no. no one is since it is a scary thing to be told you have CANCER, but as the weeks went on I had more and more confidence I would beat it. I had my husband (then fiance) behind me 100% and my family and friends as my support wagon. When I was down, I always had a friend that would cheer me up and my husband always told me how beautiful I was, no matter what. That meant more to me that anything else knowing he was there by my side no matter what the outcome would have been.

DC: How long have you been in remission?

LD: As of October 31, I will have been in remission for 7 years.

DC: That's wonderful...do you have any special regiment you follow to keep the cancer from coming back?

LD: Not really, only the pills the doctor has me taking for the next 5 yrs and then another for the next 5 yrs. So I guess you can say only what the doctor ordered...lol

DC: Were you nervous about how your condition would affect your lifestyle?

LD: I was at first, but then I had found that there are women who lost one or both breasts and it didn't change their lifestyle. It only made them stronger and I think I became a bit more stronger and a bit more adventurous as well.

DC: Is that what gave you the courage to go into the adult business?

LD: I don't really think it gave me the courage...I think it made me want to try more things in life be more adventurous as I now feel like if I beat cancer I can try anything I want to and either I will bomb or succeed.

DC: Did you run into any reluctance from any companies to hire you because of what you went through?

LD: Yes I did, as some said I was too uneven or I looked odd and people wouldn't buy it.

DC: How about reactions from your co-stars?

LD: It didn't seem to bother them at all.. most of them thought it was awesome that I wanted to get into the industry and really encouraged me. They even helped me cover it by holding their hands over the scar during filming, but not one refused to work with me because of what I went through.

DC: Is there anything you can't do physically on cam?

LD: I can not hold my arms over my head for any length of time as it hurts and pulls.

DC: So what kind of feedback do you get from your fans?

LD: I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from the fans who have seen my DVDs and I have gotten some negative feedback as well, but I really don't let the negativity bother me at all.

DC: Do you see yourself expanding more into the business, like a website for example?

LD: I have thought about a website, but just never followed through. I've heard good and bad things about them... maybe in the future I will consider it.

DC: What has been the most rewarding part of this whole experience for you?

LD: I have met a lot of awesome people and people who you can trust and a few people who are only in it for money and don't care who gets hurt while doing it; those are the strange ones. But I have definitely learned who to trust and who not to trust.

DC: One last question for you: what side of the family did those sparklingly bright blue eyes come from? LOL

LD: I would have to say from my Dad's side...maybe being Dutch, French and Irish didn't hurt either LOL.

Hollywood and enjoy the entertainment. Since I am still pretty new here, there is so much to accomplish. The company and I are excited to move forward.

DC: What's the most challenging aspect of being in charge of production?

TI: Since I wear so many hats, I think the most challenging part is to have what I create in my head translate successfully to the screen so an audience understands my intent.

DC: What has been your favorite live show that you've produced?

TI: "Party Long Island Summer House Party" was so much fun. The music artists, bands, partygoers, models and myself all had a great time. There was plenty of food, drink, great music, girls lounging in the hot tub, everybody laughing and dancing. It's exactly the kind of atmosphere I want to create when having an event at a venue.

DC: Not a lot of people know this, but it was actually your suggestion that started this Gallery. So I apologize if you start getting email now saying "Aha, so it's your fault!"

SA: I'll never allow you to let me take credit for your blog, everything on this blog is yours and yours alone. You've done all the work and get all the credit and I don't think anyone could hate you :)

DC: I know you keep quite busy...can you give us an idea of what you are currently working on?

SA: Well right now as I'm working on this interview, I am sitting relaxing after a long day of shooting Synsuous BBW. I spend most of my time being a photographer, webmaster and a small part of webmodeling. I also own a store called NoMoreGrannyPanties.com that I am currently in the process of revamping.

DC: Do you always keep up such a hectic schedule?

SA: Yes I am always working on something. Usually my schedule consists of traveling and shooting models and myself for about 2 or 3 weeks then heading home where I go through and photoshop all the pictures and then proceed to update the websites. I may get about a day off then I'm on the road again after about 3 weeks at home. In between I pick up a few websites and work on them. I've also recently started webcamming on www.justbbwcams.com as well as doing phone sex on www.niteflirt.com.

DC: Looking back, have you always been a multi-tasker even when you were younger?

SA: I've always been an overachiever and a perfectionist. In high school, I remember being a part of everything and was always busy so I guess I'd have to say yes.

DC: So where are you originally from?

SA: I'm originally from Mississippi, then I moved to Mobile, AL where I went to college and stayed until Hurricane Katrina. I then moved to California a year after.

DC: And who gave you the red hair, Mom or Dad? LOL

SA: Is the LOL because you know I'm not a natural redhead :P, I am naturally blonde hair and blue eyes, while my dad has black hair and brown eyes and my mom is a natural redhead with brown eyes.

DC: Give us an idea of what it was like growing up there...

SA: I grew up in a small town where everyone knows who you are and everyone waves. I had a great childhood and a wonderful family. The south really has alot of hospitality.

DC: Pretty good student?

SA: Always, I graduated top of my class and made all As all my life.

DC: What kind of career were you shooting for?

SA: I went to college for an engineering degree, I wanted to be a researcher and a chemist so I tried Chemical Engineering, I never finished unfortunately and settles for an Associates degree in Mathematics.

DC: What were some of the jobs you held after schooling?

SA: I interned at NASA for a bit, then worked customer service at AT&T then an accountant. Nothing interesting lol not until I started filming porn.

DC: Did you enjoy it at all?

SA: Nah I probably liked accounting the most because I like math and solving problems. I hated customer service, the negativity can make you depressed.

DC: What made you start to think about an adult modeling career?

SA: I liked taking pictures and thought I was pretty but couldn't break into modeling because i was fat and not tall enough. I started just doing erotic nude then topless and it progressed eventually to masturbation and fetish. I still do not do hard core.

DC: Was it one thing in particular that made you say go or more like a gradual process?

SA: I just did it there wasn't much thinking about it. I never thought about it and never regretted it.

DC: So take us through your first modeling assignment ever...did it live up to expectations?

SA: Hmm my first was a local photographer named Steven in Mississippi, he became one of my great friends, there were no expectations but the pics turned out great.

DC: What was it like seeing yourself in pictures like that for the first time?

SA: I always find a few pictures I like and think I look good in but still to this day I cringe a little at some of my pictures

DC: How long was it before you got the opportunity for your own site?

SA: Not long I was only taking pics for a few months before I started my site.

DC: Did you go into it with the intent of learning about and doing more than just your site?

SA: NOpe never, I just wanted to do my site and make a few extra bucks from it then I started learning a little at a time now I do everything pretty much myself.

DC: What are your favorite kinds of shoots to do?

SA: I love dressing up in vinyl and doing fetish shoots but I also love outdoor bikini shoots. I live in a bikini in the summer.

DC: Do you enjoy doing shoots with other models?

SA: Sometime, but sometimes it can be stressful and dramatic. I also am a little self conscious and sometimes I can be a bit picky with who I shoot with.

DC: Is it a personal or business decision for you not to do any hardcore?

SA: Both, on the personal level I don't have sex with men that I don't have any feelings for. I've had sex with less than 10 men in my whole life. On a business level there just isn't enough money in BBW porn for me to ruin my morals for lol.

DC: So what all do you do with Hard Ten Productions besides your website?

SA: I do almost all the photography for all the models, I also design about half the sites, we have a second webmaster as well and she's much better at graphics than I am ha.

DC: What do you look for in a prospective model for Hard Ten?

SA: Well I have learned from experience that big tits sell lol but I also look for a girl that wants to be a webmodel and wants to promote and interact with her fans.

DC: What is your fave part of the job or the part you think you are best at?

SA: I love taking pictures, I love looking sexy and making other girls look sexy, I also love doing graphics and photoshop.

DC: On the flip side, what is/are the major frustration(s) you've encountered on the job?

SA: The emotional side of the job, I get attached to the girls and sometimes they aren't satisfied and leave. Sometimes they are alot of drama as well and it can be stressful. I'm not a good dictator.

DC: What's your take on fan interaction with models, be it online or in person?

SA: I think it's a huge part of being a successful webmodel. I don't interact as much as I'd like because frankly I just don't have the time but it's my New Year's resolution to start being better about responding to all my mail. The fans are what we do it for.

DC: How do you see the BBW niche of the industry these days...healthy or challenged?

SA: Hmm I think there is an abundance of BBW websites right now but not many of them update well or continue to interact with the community. It seems as if a new site pops up every week but one seems to become invisible as well. The average life of a site is probably only a year.

DC: What do you like to do on the rare occasion you have some free time?

SA: I love to be a tourist in historical cities, I love to learn, and I also like to take pictures of things other than vaginas :)

DC: Do you have a set timetable in mind for when you're no longer in front of the camera?

SA: No I don't really, right now I don't have much to fall back on and it's pretty much my career and not a hobby so hopefully I will be at it awhile.

DC: Will you still be involved in the industry behind the scenes, do you think?

SA: I don't know how long I will do solo girl sites but I'm sure I will be a part of the industry for a long time to come.

DC: What advice would you give to any new models just starting out?

SA: It's not easy money, be sure it's something you really want to do before you jump into it. There are a lot of effects that come out such as family finding out or a job firing you because of a website, you'll never become rich from it so you need to evaluate how much it may mean to you first.

DC: Is there anything you'd like to pass along to your legions of admirers?

SA: Hmm.. well even though I take my clothes off for a living I'm not easy and not a whore, I have feelings and I really try to realize the feelings of all my fans as well. They are really important to me and make me feel extremely special. Oh and don't let girls take advantage of you, if you give gifts and money to them make sure it's because you want to and because you like them.

DC: I think you'll like this final question I have for you: Who are you taking in the Super Bowl, Packers or Steelers?

SA: I'm hoping for the Packers to win. I hate the Steelers lol.

AC: Straight A's my whole career as a student. Teachers always loved me.

DC: What did you see yourself doing when you grew up?

AC: Well, an actress, a novelist, first woman President, you know- normal, run of the mill kid stuff, haha.

DC: So when did your boobs start to appear for you?

AC: I was 12 when they started growing. They haven't stopped since!

DC: Do boobs of your magnitude run in the family?

AC: Sort of, my mom had them, but mine have even surpassed hers in size.

DC: How did everyone around you react to them at first?

AC: We all ignored them, pretended they weren't happening and I started wearing baggy everything to hide.

DC: Would you say it was easier or harder to attract the boys?

AC: HARDER. I was painfully shy to begin with, being the freak only made it worse!

DC: How many serious relationships did you have in back in the day?

AC: After I turned 16 I came into my own a little bit more, started dating older guys, and since then I've had 2 or 3 serious relationships.

DC: A friend actually gave me this question to ask: is it true that you had a period of lactation?

AC: It is. A few times actually.

DC: Was it due to pregnancy or a hormonal imbalance?

AC: Well, I've had great success with induced lactation. Any woman can lactate, regardless of being pregnant or any of that. It simply takes a persistent stimulus and a bit of tenacity!

DC: So your first foray into the adult business started where?

AC: It actually started several years ago because of my voice. I started as a phone sex operator, because everyone loved my voice. I honestly never thought anyone would actually want to SEE me, haha. After that, I started the cam shows in about August of 09 and haven't looked back since!

DC: Was it more of a curious thrill for you at first?

AC: Oh absolutely. It was something new, something exciting. I've always been a very sexual person, so opening up a new avenue to express myself in a sexual way was a gift!

DC: What was the initial reaction to your cam shows?

AC: It was a frenzy! I got thousands of emails, tons of offers to work for different sites, it really was much much more than I expected.

DC: And how did that make you feel?

AC: It felt amazing. It STILL feels amazing. I thank my lucky stars every day that my first audience wasn't just the hater crowd.

DC: Was there a moment where you sensed a possible career in this?

AC: Once I was offered my own website and actually started working on it with Liana, I knew it was a go. I probably wouldn't have turned it into a career if Liana and I hadn't clicked so well. She's such a strong motivator and she's just awesome.

DC: When you made the decision to make a website, what were some things you knew you wanted to do and not do on it?

AC: Well, I knew that hardcore was out of the picture, unless it was something with someone I was already involved with. It's always just felt like I don't belong in that part of the industry. Don't get me wrong, I love looking at porn, but I'm simply more inspired by the Pin-Up and burlesque side of sexuality and sensuality. I think that you can be sexy without showing sex.

DC: How many possible webmasters did you look at?

AC: Just two. I got my offer from one, and then I went looking to find the best I could.

DC: And of course, LushBoobs ended up as the final choice...what clinched it for you?

AC: She's ultimately just one of the coolest, most down to earth people I've ever met. She's got my best interest at heart and always looks for a way for everything to be the best for everyone, not just her own interests. I went to LA to shoot with her, met her family and friends, her pets, and I fell in love! haha. Not in a lesbian way or anything, but she's been adopted as my best friend.

DC: Was it an easy decision to relocate to Los Angeles for you?

AC: It wasn't. I left my entire life behind. I left my cat, my (now ex) boyfriend, my surrogate family and almost everything I owned, apart from a suitcase full of stuff.

DC: How much of a culture shock was it for you experiencing some of the things on the West Coast?

AC: It's a totally different world out here. I know a lot of people say that LA is very superficial, but I've never felt more comfortable in my own skin than here in Los Angeles.

DC: What have been some of your favorite sets/videos to shoot?

AC: Oh jeepers, I LOVED shooting the ropes set, because, well- I'm a bit of a bondage nut, haha, I also loved the St. Patrick's Day set, the corset set at the piano, hell- I love them all. Shooting with Liana is the best part of it all.

DC: Whose idea was it to use your chest as a living billboard and have bids for it on Ebay?

AC: It was Liana's! The woman is a marketing genius. We were out to dinner for St. Patrick's Day and I was wearing my 'Ireland' shirt and when we walked in, hordes of drunken guys and girls yelled out "Ireland!" as soon as they saw it across my chest and the idea was quick to launch!

DC: Has that done well for you and the businesses who have taken advantage of the service?

AC: It's done fairly well. We've done more private sales of ad space and there's always a boost in traffic and sales afterwards that we've noticed =)

DC: How many marriage proposals do you get in a week? LOL

AC: I'm not even sure I could count that high! It's funny, I get about 100 marriage proposals per one offer of 'Hey, let's go get coffee and see a movie sometime'

DC: Do you use fan feedback as an important tool in deciding what to feature on your site?

AC: We do. I love connecting with the members in the chat room connected to my voyeur cam, and when I'm not in there or I'm busy elsewhere, sometimes they just leave me lists of ideas of things to video and shoot, etc. I love the feedback and our members are who we're trying to please, so we listen to them as much as we can!

DC: Is it extra gratifying when you get a compliment on a body part other than your boobs or is it all good?

AC: I love all compliments that are sincere, but my favorite compliments are the ones that have nothing to do with my body at all. I love to write, draw, paint, sew, sing, read, everything! So a compliment on my taste in authors or my overzealous use of obscure vocabulary, haha- that's where it's at!

DC: What is you look for in a partner, male or female?

AC: I love someone who's funny, down to earth, sweet, caring. I like a dominant personality, but that doesn't mean overbearing, loud, demanding or any of that. I love confidence, and intelligence is a major turn on. Only other must is that you have to be a gamer, haha.

DC: Are any long-term relationships in the cards for you, do you think?

AC: I'd like to think so!

DC: So what does Anorei like to do on the rare day when she is not working on the site?

AC: I love going places. Going to the comedy clubs, going to the beach, going to San Francisco, it's all peachy! I do love to swim though, water is my favorite thing to surround myself with, so, chances are, if I'm out- I'm swimming! haha.

DC: Being in L.A., have there been any opportunities to appear on any TV shows or movies for you?

AC: I've not really been looking for those opportunities. I was in a music video about World of Warcraft by Jace Hall, but it was really nothing big, just fun!

DC: How long would you like to keep doing your site?

AC: 5-10 years, maybe more! But at least 5-10 years, I'm really enjoying it.

DC: How can your fans best keep in touch with you?

AC: My fans can keep in touch with me best via the chat room in the members area of my site (voyeur cam section) It's on 24/7 and I'm there often (it is my bedroom after all!)
